I am super ridiculously and painfully sore right now! Yesterday I got up early and went to the gym, ran a bit, did my usual workout stuff. Felt pretty good for running off of basically no sleep! Saturday night was my cousin Shana's bday and we celebrated at Groggs and The Standard. Anyhow, I was exhausted from a full day on Saturday consisting of work, Jonalyn's sister's babyshower, searching high and low for Shana's bday gift, and attempting to get new running shoes with my dad.
As for Sunday... it became FUNDAY. Cheng, Josh, Becca, Ryan, and I hit up Blackbeards! I had never been so I was super excited, upon getting there I was taken back at how small it actually was. Lol. We started at the batting cages. Like a dummy I had worn sandals so I waited for Becca to arrive so I could sport her oh so attractive work slip-ons. Josh and Cheng started batting right away and finally after everyone got there I was able to jump in too. First time in literally went 16 pitches without hitting a single ball. I think I cussed obscenely for about 5 minutes straight, poor children were probably subjected to my profanity. LOL. I couldn't help, I was so pissed off about not hitting anything. I usually don't suck at anything athletic... so I was determined to hit some balls before leaving (hehe).
Finally, I got in the zone and started hitting right. It was awesome, I even got a little crazy and bumped from the 40mph to the 70mph cage. I actually did pretty good!!! I was satisfied and I would have gone on longer if it weren't for the MASSIVE blisters that were emerging on the inside of my thumbs. Man! Let me tell you, these things are BAD. I looked down on my left hand to see the skin hanging. I had to pull it off. I grabbed bandaids but today it's worse than yesterday. So gross, lol.
After the Batting Cages we went decided to hop on a ride. We got on the Pirate Boat that swings from side to side and then does a full flip upside down. It was AWESOME!!! I'm pretty sure I haven't ever heard anyone laugh as much as Cheng and Josh on that ride. Hilarious! I haven't been on any rides in a while, at first glance this ride looks like it's for small kids... but don't be fooled. It was a thrill ride for sure :p The wind blowing on us cooled us off which was nice and we hit up the Racetrack! Cheng and Josh got a car, I got my own, and Becca and Ryan drove together. I had my pedal to the floor and it just wasn't fast enough!!! FASTER!!! Lol.
Then we went into the arcades, Becca and I danced it out with DDR (Dance Dance Revolution for those of you who aren't in the know). We shot up some zombies, I think we'd make an excellent mercenary team. Got some tasty icees, watching the guys punch a bag like crazy people. Haha! It felt to good to act like children, even if it cost an arm and a leg. However, today I'm feeling EXTREMELY sore from batting. Last night I felt like I was having a small heart attack but then realized it was only sore muscles laying on my rib cage. Talk about shitty... I feel like I was in a brawl. Not to mention pussy, bleeding, massive blisters on my hands.
Anyhow, today starts the beginning of my 45 hour work weeks. Although we are thinking FDIC is coming in this Friday for sure. Soon at least. When that does happen we may or may not have a job so we shall see. Brianne has gone on her maternity leave and Trina went on her vacation. Carrie is also in town now too so that's always fun!!!
