Baby Bennett?

IT'S A BOY!

I shall have a nephew in August :o)
I absolutely cannot wait! I am SO excited!!! The name is still undecided but it could be Bennett! How cute ;o)

Anyway, today was a great day. I've been running everyday, getting in shape. It's really been working because I can run longer and longer each day without feeling like I'm gonna die, however that's on the treadmill. On the pavement it seems to get harder, lol. It's funny, I didn't seem to remember how much of a challenge it was back in Cross Country or Track... but then again I was like how many years younger? Haha! I'm continually motivated by Brandon and people around me so that's a good thing! I've started cycling twice a week as well and LOVE IT. I'm addicted to being active, yay.

Brandon is making dinner for me as of this very moment, aww... Salmon! He got OC'ed yesterday, yes... I know you don't know what that means. Basically he got a very strong potion of Pepper Spray in his eyes!!! He was exhausted yesterday when he got home and I guess the stuff reactivated in his eyes when he took a shower last night. I knew it was gonna be painful. He even said it was worse than having to be in the gas chamber in the Marine Corps. WOW, I hope I never get that stuff on me! I carry a police grade can for protection but I'll be sure to keep it in the bad guy's eyes and not mine. LOL. Travis went out to the Academy yesterday and got a few pictures. He said Brandon and my cousin Brett did awesome, some guys I guess acted as though they were gonna explode, screaming, cussing, kicking things in pain. Lol. I shouldn't laugh. I will post the pics on to this blog soon, just gotta get em' uploaded.

Last night was fun because I got to help make cookies for the Police Academy's fundraiser. We went over to Raven and Pierce Masse's to decorate! Raven is a really skilled cookie maker, they were very professional looking. She had already made literally 200 cookies when we had gotten there, all shaped as four-leaf clovers and top hats :o) A few other Cadets and their wives were there to help. I couldn't remember all of their names! I meant business when I got started on decorating, I loved it! I hope to be able to start creating cookies like that in the future. A lot of hard work but still really neat! Raven has a two year old, two other couples brought their babies as well and I started to feel like I was way behind everyone! I was the ONLY "girlfriend" there. Everyone was about my age and married with a kid or planning to have a kid. It was an awkward feeling! Haha. I'm glad I'm still where I'm at I guess. I would like to have a the job of my dreams already... instead of a job where I feel like I'm just an extra body. I've still got my fingers crossed on my application, I pray that I get. It's ALL I want at this point in my life. I can't move forward in school I'll have to look for another significant way to move forward.

I think I'm going to start looking into a second job next semester where I can work in my field. Perhaps in a hospital or the Marjorie Mason Center. I'm trying to save money as of right now... it's coming along slowly. I hate that feeling when you get paid and look at your account online and are overjoyed by the funds! WOOHOO and then bills, daily necessities, gas, and whatever else seems to magically disappear from the account... and your left at the exact same place (or lower) than we you had been before you had gotten paid. LOL, errr!

Right now I'm saving up for (in no particular order):
#1 - New Car (preferably an Acura)
#2 - Wedding/Honeymoon
#3 - A house (one day...)
#4 - New furniture
#5 - An nice, expensive, durable vaccum (which I'll probably get first) LOL
#6 - Brandon and I's trip to Thailand
...etc...

Speaking of Thailand... I CANNOT wait to go with Brandon and show him EVERYTHING! Where I grew up, my old house... everything. I also plan on taking a trip not only to Bangkok but also to Phi Phi Island. It's the one beach that I really wanted to go to but never did! It's absolutely phenomenal! I can't wait :o) The other beach of my dreams is in Bora Bora... I think I'm gonna start saving for that one so it can be my honeymoon location! Lol. Hmmmm....

Anyway, last night after making cookies I went to Old Town with Ashley. We met up with Becca and some other friends. We ended up waiting in line for like 2 hours!!! Just to have our VIP card tossed in the trash and be treated like poo. I officially think that place is ridiculous. We went over to The Cellar to end the night. It turned out okay even though I really miss going out with Brandon. He doesn't like to go out too much because it can be risky as a Cadet soon to be Officer which I understand and respect. Just kinda stinks sometimes cause we don't go dancing as much as we used to. LOL. I'm just being a baby. Hehe... Brandon and I have a lot of fun together dancing and having a good time(for example: wedding crashing in NY.)I can't wait for work to be over today though. We are going to be grabbing dinner at Tokyo Steakhouse with Brianne and Daniel. Yay for TEPANYAKI! Then who knows what we are gonna do after!
