An unpleasant look into a depressive state:
To me it seems, time goes by without me noticing, without me caring that I've slept half of it away. The sun is no longer inviting instead it invokes an empty gaze. My hearing isn't quite as sharp, muscles ache and seem to be only held together by bones that barely care if they're there. Everything is unimportant and dull. The muscles that create a smile are paralyzed. Words seem pointless, to not hear my voice seems consoling and thoughts aren't even processing enough for conversation. Yearning for an escape yet too lethargic to even partake in it. Only enough energy to do what I have to and even that's a struggle. On the verge of tears that burn my face. Taste dissipates, concentration is lost, even colors seem dimmer and music seems to drown out. I wake with the desire to throw up, as if I need to expunge this sickness. And at night my mind races with all the things I failed to do, things I should have done or need to do, worrying about literally anything and everything. And the moon laughs at me as my imagination goes wild with fears about finances and bugs to God and the many ways I could die tonight in my sleep. Thoughts of being murdered, spirits in the halls and wild animals outside my window. I wish they'd all just let me sleep and give me peace.
