Patiently.

"At this very moment He has His fingers gripped on your chin saying, 'Right here child. Look right here. Don't look right or left. Stare straight into my face. I am your Deliverer. There is none like me."

Faith is trust.

I read this and imagine God staring straight into my eyes asking me to keep my eyes on him and move forward. Move forward though the world around me is desiring my attention, while the world around me is filled with trouble. I hear people crying, I sense dangerous animals creeping up on me in the darkness, I feel poisonous snakes at my feet, explosions, fire, gun shots in the distance, pure chaos... and then there's God never breaking eye contact, a brilliant light asking me to not look around though I'm scared, asking me to focus... to trust... to move!

You have to trust he will not put you into harms way but will completely rescue you and lead you by still waters in all things.

"I waited patiently for the Lord, he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand."
