Guaranty Bank is now becoming BBVA Compass Bank. Are you ready for this? BBVA stands for Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria. Yeup we're gonna be a Spanish bank. Lol. We'll most likely go by Compass Bank which is far better than their other counterpart "Bancomer". Such an attractive name right? Haha, no way Jose. Looks like I'll have to brush up on my Spanish and add a lisp. Thank goodness their colors weren't red otherwise we might as well be Compass Pizza from across the street. Or even better it kinda reminds me of a Rental Car Company, maybe Compass Enterprise? LOL. Anyway, the new bank is a $698 billion organization, the 25th largest financial institution in the U.S, based out of Alabama, Texas, Colorado, Florida, Arizona, New Mexico, and now California. It's presence is also in Spain, Mexico, Latin American, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Singapore, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. Hell, maybe I'll put in for a transfer!
So, this is actually a very promising situation and hopefully they will keep our branch and our employees. We have high hopes and we all have big dreams of promotions as well. I have a couple opportunities if this doesn't pan out at Bank of America and Wells Fargo so I'll continue to be seriously considering those paths in the next couple months. Gotta make more money!!! As of right now I can't wait for Friday, things will be changing.
As for this weekend, we still haven't decided how we are gonna spend Sunday Funday. I definitely will need to do something exciting. Lately my moments of excitement have been far too short lived and my moments of annoyance have been popping up way too frequently. Release is necessary. It seems that the weekends (or I should say my only day off) goes by way too quickly and work drags on forever. Hopefully tonight I'll find another moment of peace. Just waiting for the door to open...
;o)
