What a man chooses to do when he is only accountable to himself and God is what makes him who he is as a man. It is that which is inevitably perceived by others to be either his strength or weakness.
It's a liberating and figuratively sobering experience to realize you are accountable only to yourself and your creator... I think it is something everyone needs to experience before they give a part of their lives to someone else, before they also become accountable forever to another. How do you know who you are if you haven't ever given yourself the opportunity to discover and make choices for yourself. If you've never sat alone, comfortable in your own skin, at peace with who are and what you dream of becoming...
We cannot change a person, only ourselves. We cannot control this world or the people in. We must only give each day our best, love one another with compassion and understanding, and hope that those around us can do the same.
