July 15th -- I WAS BORN, 24 years ago...
Well, Wednesday was my birthday and it was a fantastical day! I had planned on waking up extremely early for the gym with Korey but reluctantly had to pass. Woke up at 6:15 just to text her that I would be baling and instead falling back asleep. Lol. I slept in for a while and eventually woke up and headed straight out to my Grandparent's house. It was their anniversary so I decided to go have breakfast with my Gran :o) I spent a couple quality hours there and then headed off to the mall to buy myself a new dress for my bday dinner! I of course spent my non-refundable bday money at Forever 21, got a new black dress and some jewelry. Rushed home to grab lunch with my mom, sis, and Shane :)
My plan was to have dinner at Aqua Shi but they called me the night before my birthday to inform me that they cannot sell alcohol for the next two weeks. So... I had to change my plans and ended up making reservations at Wassabi. It was a good choice :o) We grabbed drinks at Fridays around 6:30 and met up at 7pm for SUSHI and SAKE! There was a good turn out too, about 12 of us!
Dinner was great, Cheng was kinda enough to buy us a bottle of Sake (a MASSIVE bottle) we all had about 4-5 shots :)
Afterwards we had plans to go to Old Town for dollar beers but we heard they were having karaoke which wasn't really my thing. We ended up going to the Standard. Got there early and we were the only people in the place, later on it actually go really packed.
After a while we got in the mood to sing so we took off to Old Town. Unfortunately, Old Town Saloon is the WORST bar there is all of the Valley. I will stand behind that statement forever. I don't think I have been there once where there isn't a lame problem, a bouncer being an ass or just plain drama! The place was DEAD and here we are a big group of us ready to have fun on my bday and the guy has the gall to tell my girlfriend that her eye don't look hazel therefore she isn't allowed in. BULLSHizznit. Wow. WE had a few choice words with the guy and basically they suck and are rude.
We went to 500 club instead where then after letting us all in came back to give my girlfriend a hard time, most likely because the other bouncer told them to. Jerks. Anyway, we had fun. 500 club was boring and we just talked for a bit and eventually went home. Cheng drove Josh and I to Taco Bell (yum) and then home. I went to bed around 1 or 2am which was nice. A great birthday it was!
Thursday I didn't have to work so I ran a bunch of errands, after I slept in of course. I felt bad for Korey and Josh who both had to work. Josh had to be up at 4:30am!!! And Korey had to work ALL day! Anyway, I took back some stuff to Sports Authority, got some new workout clothes. Went to Bed Bath and Beyond and bought a new duvet cover because.... I got a DOWN COMFORTER for my bday!!!! :o) I went home and layed out with my sister a bit too.
My birthday and this week has turned out to be absolutely wonderful and filled with happiness and great friends. I am so lucky to have such amazing friends and family. It feels good to be happy :o)
