Or I should say Mr. Hiccups the Cuddler who randomly likes to hump me... Haha!
Gunner has been with us only a couple days and he's already doing his part to contribute. Monday night we took him to help Brandon gain money to pay for his Academy Graduation dinner. Brandon had to sell cookies so we decided to go to Chloe's dance studio (and bring the pup). I was a little nervous when we got there because there were dozens of little kids and it was a small space... they were all running to see Gunner. It seems Gunner has a soft spot for kids and children seem to have the same for his cute little three legged self. He did SO well, he let all of the kids pet him and get close... giving them only kisses we managed to make almost $100 from the cookies! There was a cute 2 year old boy who was happily infatuated with Gunner, he just about the same size as Gunner standing up and he kept putting his little face right in Gunner's face. I was nervous about it but they got along perfectly, it was the most adorable thing ever. Gunner of course was exhausted afterwards which was good.
He has also been doing really well going to the bathroom when we take him out. I guess it's all about being able to understand when he typically would need to go, 30min after eating, before and after napping... etc. He tends to lay around a lot so I figure if he randomly gets up on his own he either needs food/water/bathroom. Lol.
Gunner is also interested in Maci. He wags his tail and loves to watch her. Every once in a while he actually tries to get closer to play. Maci of course thinks that she owns everything he touches so she is constantly pushing her boundaries. That is until he gets close to her on his terms in which case she hisses and gets ready to slap him. Lol. Hopefully one day they will be good friends.
