I wonder if we are ever really satisfied with our lives when we say we are. There are some people, that are few and far between, who can look through the mindless everyday smile that all too quickly fades. So many people I have met say one thing but deep down mean another. Even through blatant attempts at proving to ourselves and others, some of us still build the facade. We desperately try to find someone that will love us for who we are, why don't we wait patiently content? Why is it a race to the finish line? More importantly why do people have a desire to get everything before anyone else?
It's so bizarre to me. I've had many friends that have come and gone. Many of them seem to lack the concept of a meaningful life, not to be too blunt or rude. What if we were to live our lives inside and out doing exactly all the things that bring us joy AND all the things that bring happiness and joy to others? What would that look like, it's probably impossible. So instead we do one or the other.
