Move-in Day :o)

Today is the official beginning to our new life in our new apartment! It's extremely exciting to say the least. The past couple of weeks have been entirely too stressful for me and I am so happy to have this break, this new change. I admit last night I was feeling a little apprehensive and anxious but I sorted things out in my mind for the first time in a long time. Brandon and I talked for hours after finishing our packing, we eventually fell asleep in my sister and Shane's old room on my old mattress with some random pillows and blankets. It was so wonderful, I knew that I would miss our old apartment. So many memories, of when we first met. Looking back at the beginning of Brandon and I's relationship I laugh thinking about how much I couldn't really stand that Granite Ridge apartment, mostly because I felt like an outcast every time I would come over in front of Brandon's old roommates. I won't go into detail, but they were hardly friendly or welcoming. I always felt like the only place I felt even a bit comfortable was his room which then became our room. Once we officially moved in together the apartment at Granite Ridge really became home in every sense of the word. I love that place.

Nonetheless, I am overjoyed about moving into our new apartment. It is absolutely perfect. Sometimes I wish I wasn't so picky because the first thing I do this morning when we walk in is inspect everything with a very critical eye. Lol, I can't help I'm particular! There are indeed very minor things that I don't "love" about the new place but other than those couple things I am STOKED! This morning Brandon and his dad moved all our stuff over to the new place and unfortunately I am stuck at work all day. Bummer. I can't wait to get home and rearrange and organize, unpack and get settled. I hope Maci likes her new home, it will take some getting used to.

On top of being excited about the new change in living space, I am so very happy to start our new path as Brandon becomes a Police Officer. He will start the Academy in January and I know without a doubt that he will be one of the top cadets in his class. There's nothing Brandon does at less than his best, which is always phenomenal compared to anyone else's best. I'm excited that he won't be as stressed about money and I feel as though everything is falling exactly into place. It's a little scary for me since I am so used to the unknown being certain and now it's possible that the unknown might be known. Crazy.

Anyway, I can't wait to celebrate the end of this semester this weekend. I am also excited to spend the next few weeks with my dad who came home yesterday from Korea. He was telling Brandon and I all about the fun things he has been up to. He just recently moved from Malaysia to Seoul. He has a house now and is getting a Bull Terrier when he gets back. Hannah and I will visit him this summer as usual, I've never been to South Korea so it should be a nice new adventure. PLUS... some family friends who are Scottish/British are having a wedding in June in Ireland! I am literally so thrilled to be able to go there. It's one of the places I've ALWAYS wanted to go and now I can, I just wish I could spend a week or so there and in Scotland. Ahh, I can't stop thinking about how cool it will be. I'll get to officially travel the entire globe this summer, Fresno to New York... to Ireland to South Korea... and back to California! Oh how I love my traveling adventures!

That's it for now!

Luv Nat
