Christmas and the Day After...

1. I'm going to be an Aunt.
2. I'm going to have a brother in-law.
3. My sister is going to be a Mom and a Wife very soon...

Christmas Day Brandon and I woke up early and headed straight to my Grandparent's house. We got there around 8am and started eating of course. Soon the rest of the Bennett/Prieto family arrived and Brandon and I opened our presents first. Brandon got a gift card to Best Uniforms from my Dad. He got movie passes from my Grandparents. He opened my presents; new running shoes, some stuff for his phone, Band of Brothers, a shirt, and a really nice new jacket. Then I opened my presents from Brandon! I got Uggs (my first real pair, lol). He gave me a bluetooth set because I can never find one that works and I also got to reopen my jewelry chest. We also got more movie tickets which will definitely come in handy and my dad got us GUITAR HERO! Brandon had to leave after we opened our presents to each other to spend Christmas morning with his family :o)

After he left I opened even more presents from my Aunts and Uncles. I watched everyone open their gifts as well. I gave my Dad the best gift I've ever created thus far, it was a calender of my sister and I from Shutterfly. I think he loved it. We also gave him a large pic of Brandon and I that Travis had taken at Woodward park. Among my presents I got a gift card to Macy's, yay for new clothes!!! I also got the sexiest black boots ever, hehe. My aunt gave me a bible she had decorated which was awesome. It was the coolest looking bible I'd ever seen! She seriously is so creative, I wish I could be that skilled. Lol.

Hannah and my mother were absent on Christmas Day which was a bummer but we will celebrate Christmas with my mom tonight and my sister when she gets home in a couple days. It's feels strange not to have spent it with them. It feels even weirder than my sister will be getting married and giving birth in the next 8 months! It's just so crazy. I never thought that she would be doing all of this before me, I'm actually sad cause I thought I'd be able to help her more from personal experience but now she'll be the one helping me when my time comes. Anyway, Shane asked Hannah to marry him last night... she didn't even call me on Christmas Day and still hasn't called me to tell me that she's engaged. Owell :o)

All the craziness of Christmas, the preparing for Christmas Eve, the drama of family... I ended up passing out on my grandparents couch when Brandon came back from his parents. We stayed there for a while and then left with all our stuff to go home for more napping. First thing Brandon did when we got home though was set up Guitar Hero (World Tour)! I fell asleep for a few hours and awoke to him banging on the drum set. I was grumpy at that point, hehe. Around 9pm Travis and Valerie came back over to hangout and my girlfriends followed shortly after. I gave out their gifts, we had more wine, and played games. Everyone but Jonalyn and Katie had left by about 2am. Brandon had gone to bed and there we were like crazy people staring at the T.V trying to master Guitar Hero. LOL.

We played Guitar Hero until 4am!!! It was pretty funny to watch. Katie on the guitar, Jonalyn and I switched off on drums and vocals. I started on drums but Jonalyn's monotone singing wasn't helping us very much. So she went over to drums and I was on vocals for like an hour. I usually have a severe phobia of singing in front of people but surprisingly I sang probably 20 songs last night!!! I think I could even do some karaoke now... We were doing damn good, made a couple thousand dollars... we were going for $8,000 so we could buy the Tool gig... instead we were stuck with the 80's and 90's rock music. LOL.

Anyway, I got a few hours of sleep last night. Our apartment is extremely comfortable and I absolutely love being lazy at home now. Maci loves it as well :o) Speaking of Maci I think I need to buy her a Christmas present... new kitty litter! Haha. Well, I am at work right now all day long once more. I work tomorrow as well. This weekend Brandon and I have to clean our old apartment and hand in the keys next week. We've decided that it's not worth it to bust our butts trying to clean every little thing to perfection like we normally do... we probably won't get our deposit back anyway!

Hopefully New Years is awesome!

luv Nat

PS.
Congratulations to those people in my life that are about to be experiencing wonderfully, amazing, big, new changes in their lives (they know who they are). GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS! Great things are in the works... it is true. I'm excited for it all and happy to see those I love happy :o)
