We hurried to dinner because we had a reservation. By this time it was about 9pm! The hotel was beautiful, the lobby had amazing flowers, lots of windows and a huge indoor fire pit! The resturant was a little busy with couples, we had some wine and our dinner.
We were in a hurry to get done because Brandon had made another reservation at 9:45. We had our presents with us and the next thing we know we're hoping on a golfcart that is taking us down winding little roads to the beach. Brandon had set up a private fire on the beach for just us! Along with smores and champagne we opened our gifts for one another.
I had gotten him a shutterfly photobook which turned out PERFECTLY! It's probably one of the best gifts I've made. I also had gotten him a really nice Citizen Watch since this was a combination of Valentine's Day and our 1 Year Anniversary :o) Brandon got me the most special and wonderful gift ever, a promise ring. It was just so perfect. A white gold band lined with pave diamonds, gorgeous!
After the fire on the beach we went back up to our room to spend together and fall asleep. We woke up to the sound of the waves on the beach and the light rain. We got ready and had breakfast sent our room. Soon we were off to Monterey Bay!
We headed to the aquarium which I was so thrilled about! It was cold, windy and raining outside and unfortunately I was still sick but having a blast. I literally coughed and sneezed the whole ride around town. Lol. The aquarium was so cool, I was like a little kid in a candy store.
I wanted to spend time staring at all the different fish, I got to pet the sting ray, sea cucumbers, and hold a decorator crab!
After the aquarium we headed to Bubba Gumps for lunch!
We walked around the town for a bit, found some really cool photography and art shops. We got some candy and sweatshirts. On the way home we stopped at Casa de Fruta of course...
It was the best weekend I've ever had and I can't wait to go on another trip, hopefully this Spring break we will be headed to L.A with my cousins!
Peace for now!
