Just Another Saturday Night In

Just watching The Soup which more than fulfills my Saturday night of fun...

Yes... it's Joel McHale

Today I was able to get in order more stuff with the new apartment. We will officially be moving in December 19th and we already have so many plans for our own place! We literally spent two hours at Target looking at rugs and more rugs that match other rugs. The not so fun part is the packing and moving!

Tomorrow is PICTURE DAY! Brandon's friend Travis who works at a photography studio (who also will be our new neighbor) offered to take professional pictures of Brandon and I at Woodward Park. It will be beautiful since the Fall colors have emerged! I think I might even bring my own camera to take some pics if I get a chance :o)

My dad is coming home in December so that will be nice. He hasn't been home since my Birthday in July. The hard part of Christmas for me now is the seperation and divorce of my parents. Last year Christmas was extremely rough since it was our first without my parents being together. I ended up overloading and overwhelming myself into an anxiety attack. Hopefully this year will be a lot easier.

Brandon and I are looking forward to New Years more than anything! TAHOE!!! We haven't been traveling much since we all have many obligations so this will be a nice getaway, plus Brandon has never been to Tahoe. I'm interested in trying out Snowboarding! I think I'll be able to borrow Val's snowboard for the trip and that will be awesome. If it doesn't work well I can always go back to skiing. Plus, Brianne and I are gonna get "special treatment" at a spa! Yay, it's about time for a professional massage.

Lately, I've been missing traveling overseas. I guess more specifically Thailand, a lot of my old friends go back every Christmas break for a huge reunion.

Sometimes I'm a bit envious but I know so much time and distance has come between us all. It's just such a strange feeling to feel as though your home isn't really your home competely. And no one really understands what I mean, it's like America is my true home but a piece of me is lost in Asia and I feel like as though I don't even belong in my own country sometimes. I still can't get over how strange it feels and it's not even really something I can express. It's like I'm here for a while but something is waiting to take me somewhere else... maybe it's just all the moving and uncertainty from growing up. Who knows, owell!!!

Enough of my tangents...

So, I totally understand how you feel about living abroad. Even though I only lived in Europe for a semester it took me a long time, and even now still, to not feel like there is something more out there.
On a lighter note....I can't wait for Tahoe either. Yay! We are gonan have a blast! xoxo
